Mango Lassi Recipe

  • 1 Mango (ripe)

  • 1 tablespoon Sugar/ Dates/Jaggery

  • 1 cup Yogurt

  • 2-3 strands Saffron (kesar)

  • A pinch of Green Cardamom Powder

How to make Mango Lassi:

  1. Firstly Wash mango properly and then peel it and remove its seed.
  2. Now grind its flesh into a mixer to make a uniform paste out of it and transfer it into a bowl.

  3. Take yogurt, sugar and ice cubes and blend it properly in the same mixer for a minute.

  4. After that add the mango paste and blend again for half a minute on minimum speed.

  5. Finally garnish with dry fruits and serve cold.

Recipe Tips:

  • Replace sugar with dates, jaggery or maple syrup for healthier versions.

  • Better use high power blender to make smooth and uniform mango paste.

  • Garnish with dry friuts or healthy seeds for example flax seeds, pumpkin seeds.

  • Prepare mango paste in bulk and use it afterwards within 2-3 days.

  • Use fresh yogurt for better taste. Although Home made yogurt is preferable that is not sour and results in balancing the texture and taste.

  • Adjust the sweetness of Mango Lassi by adjusting sweetener quantity. Fresh yogurt does not require more sweetener. However sour yoghurt may need more sweetener.
