Raw Mango Tangy Chutney

Raw Mango Chutney basically is a tangy, spicy, good for gut and refreshing dip prepared from raw mangoes, coriander and mint leaves with spices during summer season. Ingredients used to make raw mango chutney not only give it tangy and spicy taste but also strengthen the digestive system. Moreover regular use of this chutney in balanced way help to prevent sunstroke during summers.

Here is the simple and quick recipe of Raw Mango Chutney.

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium size Raw Green Mango
  • 1 Green Chilli, seeded and chopped
  • 1/2 inch Ginger, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 cup chopped Coriander Leaves
  • 5-6 chopped Mint leaves (optional)
  • 1/3 teaspoon or to taste Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Water

How to make Raw Mango Chutney

  1. Firstly wash raw mango in running water. Peel and cut it into small chunks and discard its stone.
  2. Add mango pieces, green chilli, ginger, cumin seeds, coriander and mint leaves and salt in a grinder jar.
  3. Now grind them to a smooth paste. Add 1-2 tablespoon of water while grinding in order to balance consistency.

Recipe Tips:

  • Adjust the quantity of salt and green chillies according to tanginess of green raw mangoes you are using.
  • Add 2 tablespoon of curd to green raw mango chutney to make a tangy dip for samosa and dahi vada.
  • Store it in airtight container and store in refrigerator for instant anytime use.
  • Serve it as a dip with pakora, khaman dhokla, cutlets, Nachos or finger fries.
