Matar Poha Recipe How to Make Matar Poha (Green Pea Poha)
Ingredients for Matar Poha Recipe:
- 1 cup pressed rice
- 1/2 cup green peas
- 8-10 curry leaves
- 2 finely chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida (Hing)
- salt as required
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice
- water as required
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 green chilli finely chopped
- 2 tablespoon oil
- 1 tablespoon coriander leaves finely chopped
How to Make Matar Poha (Green Pea Poha)
- Rinse poha in water and strain it. Keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium flame and add asafoetida and mustard seeds in it. Saute for a few seconds and then add curry leaves along with chopped chillies in it. Saute the ingredients for another few seconds .
- Then add peas to it and fry them for 2 minutes.
- Then add chopped onions to the pan, fry till they turn golden brown in colour.
- Add the washed poha in the pan. Quickly, add turmeric powder and salt in the pan and stir to mix all the ingredients for a minute. Add a little water in the pan and cover with a lid. Allow the flavours to get absorbed in the matar poha.
- Turn off the flame and add lemon juice and coriander leaves. Mix well.
- Cover the pan for 2 minutes. Serve with tea, coffee or Juice.
